Sketches

This is the OLDER version of my gallery. I have made a NEWER place for all of my sketches. Please go there, to the GALLERY, for a better layout.

I have been making hundreds of sketches all of my life. My mom told me that I started drawing as early as three years old. My elementary school teacher told me later that I did an unusual perspective drawing of street houses when I was 7 years old. I remember that drawing but I didn’t know it was perspectival. If it were, it must have been distorted :P.

I am actually curious to see what I drew in the past. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any sketches from my childhood. Some were kept in schools and most likely they were destroyed on annual cleaning acts. Some were kept in my parents’ house in Bandung, Indonesia, and as we did have our house renovated so many times, they were also gone. My mom may keep one or two drawings, I’ll check when I visit her.

So, here are some recent sketches. Mostly drawn during my travels and some are also displayed in my travel notes. Enjoy!
