[Photos] From the red city of Moskva
Here I am, in another city with very unique Russian architecture. Beautiful? Of course. This city is just gorgeous. Remarkably beautiful, really.
Like Petersburg, Москва́ too, was designed in a gigantic scale.
Amazingly, it’s still very walkable… but not for disabled ones! Too many stairs, too wide, too big, too tiring!!!

Wondering why they designed in gigantic scale, were they “giant”? Btw Mer, why did you take the old lady pic?
mer: because of its monarchism (and later, socialist realism) — people should feel small. that old lady, i took it because it’s an interesting human object…. i took pics of other people too…

Too wide, too big , too tiring. I guess so. But yet, going by the pictures, you have been covering a lot of this gigantic city anyhow.

Big is beautiful ..! just be patient in traveling
and gods are in the details.. so you need to take sabbatical leave and just enjoy every moment in life
mer: i have enjoyed and always do enjoy every moment in life. i just think a more intimate scale is more comfortable, but that doesn’t mean gigantic scale isn’t beautiful.

it is beautiful!
Is it true that it’s not very safe for asians (or people of color - as if white people are transparent lol) to travel to and in russia?
I was told this by several people, asian and caucasian, and got scared. But I really wanna go there one day!
mer: thanks! i was told the same too…. but i wasn’t scared at all… and people were nice to me.
