[Songs + Photos] From Leiden: Craziness, Dog and Meatball
I cannot explain what happened to me when I was in Leiden last week. Perhaps it was the combination of the Dutch weather (it was raining like crazy), my lack of rest, my wild brain, and being with a partner in crime (who requested such crazy music) The result of such combination is the recording of some children songs — sung in a no-shame drunk mode :p
Unfortunately those who didn’t grow up in Indonesia wouldn’t understand the humor behind all of this craziness. But anyway…… please enjoy two of some songs I recorded….. they are about a dog and meatballs…. accompanied with a stolen guitar :p

You’re right: the texts are beyond me. But the melancholy part of the heli dog’s voice+melody (what the hell is a heli dog?! A dog in a helicopter?) does work. And if this is the way you sing when you’re drunk, you should prevent to get sober again.
( Btw: Hope, you have a great time with only splendid weather in Indonesia.)
mer: Colson, you should ask your daughter in laws about the texts. The songs, I believe, belong to their childhood too, so they would be amused listening to my versions. Just fyi, I am often drunk without drinking

I’ve just heard the jazz version of Heli the dog, eh, the heli dog? and the meatball…
very refreshing…but why does the miaw sound always be part of the songs? kekekekekkkk…jadi inget waktu jaman baso masih 200 perak :p

… itu lagu masa kecil tuh, chicha koeswoyo kan yg nyanyi 
… kok ya pas di-jazz-in, tapi itu si heli jadinya nguik nguik ya, bukannya guk guk hehheeh 
eh ketemu siapa di leiden? aku 4 th tinggal di leiden (2001-2005), desaku tercinta
… pas weekend terakhir juni aku juga main ke sana, jangan2 barengan?
